THE GORDON MODEL

Dr. Gordon’s AI augmented Adaptive Learning Model (AI/AL) represents a significant change in the education and training fields over traditional classroom and e-learning models. It creates an educational environment in which learners can achieve Mastery of a topic without the constraints of the traditional classroom. Traditional education approaches rely on structured, time released, subject specific content, physical or virtual class participation and are based on a one teacher-to-many-students model. Alternatively, AI/AL systems can provide a true one-to-one highly personalized educational approach by the use of an artificial intelligence augmented AI/AL teaching assistant that works with human teacher(s) focused exclusively on one-student-at-time. AI/AL has the potential to eliminate grades, grade levels and the time constraints imposed for completion of course materials. This empowers the learner to work towards Mastery at their own pace.

THE SILVERBLATT KEYS

Dr. Art Silverblatt’s work in media literacy, particularly through his book “Media Literacy: Keys to Interpreting Media Messages,” offers a comprehensive approach to understanding and analyzing media in various forms. This includes print, photography, film, radio, television, and new media. His book provides a critical and qualitative approach to media literacy analysis, which is especially pertinent in the context of rapidly evolving digital and interactive media. In his book, Silverblatt organizes the content into several parts, beginning with a theoretical framework for critical analysis of media texts. This framework covers the definition of media literacy and fundamental principles and concepts. It then moves on to the application of this methodological framework to various media formats, including advertising, journalism, American political communications, and interactive media. The final part of the book delves into specific mass media issues and discusses the outcomes of having a media-literate population.
